Gala is a Normal Pig in the Animal Crossing series. She first appeared in Animal Crossing: City Folk and has appeared in all subsequent games. Her English catchphrase, "snortie," refers to how pigs snort, and is similar to Anabelle's English catchphrase, "snorty," but with a different spelling.

In New Horizons, Gala has the education hobby and can be seen wearing rimmed glasses, reading a novel while outside, and using a magnifying glass when near certain objects.
