Murphy is a Cranky bearCub in the Animal Crossing series. He first appeared in Doubutsu no Mori, and after his appearance in Doubutsu no Mori e+, he remained absent from the series until Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo. Data for him exists in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer but ultimately remains unused. His English name is the most common Irish surname, which is related to his English catchphrase, "laddie," and his green fur color which is associated with Ireland.

In New Horizons, Murphy has the education hobby and can be seen wearing rimmed glasses, reading a novel while outside, and using a magnifying glass when near certain objects.

Appearance

Murphy is a green bear cub. He has a white muzzle with matching paws. He has very thick, dark green eyebrows, and almost identical closed eyes. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, his eyebrows become slightly more arched. There is a darker green patch over his right ear. In Doubutsu no Mori, his eyes and eyebrows are more curved and his mouth is larger.
