Hornsby is a Lazy rhinoceros villager in the Animal Crossing series. He first appeared in Doubutsu no Mori, and after his appearance in Doubutsu no Mori e+, he did not appear from the Animal Crossing: Wild World to the Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but reappeared in the Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo. Data for him exists in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer but ultimately remains unused. He is the only Lazy rhinoceros in the series. His English name comes from the horn on his head.

In New Horizons, Hornsby has the nature hobby and may be found reading a book pertaining to an item he is studying, which can be either flowers, bugs, fish, or fossils.

Appearance

Hornsby is a blue rhinoceros with yellow horns and pink ears with smaller black insides. He also has black eyes pointing in opposite directions, which appear to be pointing to his back when viewed from the side. On the back of his head are dark blue stripes.
