Gladys is a Normal Ostrich in the Animal Crossing series. She first appeared in Doubutsu no Mori e+ and has appeared in all subsequent games. Her English name could be derived from the Everglades, where many cranes live.

In New Horizons, Gladys has the education hobby and can be seen wearing rimmed glasses, reading a novel while outside, and using a magnifying glass when near certain objects.

Appearance

Gladys is a gray and white ostrich with large, black eyes. Her appearance is based on the red-crowned crane. The top of her head is red, and unlike other ostriches, she has no hair protruding from her head. The upper part of her face, her wings, her abdomen, and the upper part of her legs are white, while the lower part of her face and legs are gray.
