Shep is a Smug Dog in the Animal Crossing series. He first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and has appeared in all subsequent games. His English name comes from "shepherd dog," which is reflected by his English catchphrase.

In New Horizons, Shep has the education hobby and can be seen wearing rimmed glasses, reading a novel while outside, and using a magnifying glass when near certain objects.

Appearance

Shep is a dark brown dog with lighter brown hair covering his eyes. His ears are tinted with an even darker brown on the rest of his body. His arms are tipped lighter, and so are his feet. Shep resembles three sheepdog breeds; the Komondor, the Old English Sheepdog, and the Bearded Collie.
