Animal Crossing: New Horizons		Doctor's Coat Hydrangea Umbrella

Petri is a Snooty Mouse in the Animal Crossing series. She was added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons as part of the 2.0 Free Update on November 4, 2021, and she was added to Animal Crossing Pocket Camp between the announcement and release of the New Horizons update. Based on her appearance, Petri's name may come from the Petri dish, a type of container used in biologic studies, or its inventor, German microbiologist Julius Richard Petri.

In New Horizons, Petri has the education hobby and can be seen wearing rimmed glasses, reading a novel while outside, and using a magnifying glass when near certain objects.

Appearance

Petri is a predominantly white mouse. Her hands and feet have gray tips, and her tail and nose are black. She has blonde hair and wears a small red ribbon on the back of her head. Petri wears large round glasses with opaque white lenses, which obscure her eyes. When given a different pair of glasses, it reveals that she has brown eyes with eyelashes and gray-purple eyeshadow. The insides of her ears are different colors; the left one is light blue or cyan and the right one is red. Given her white fur and scientific theme, she seems to be based on a laboratory mouse.
