Broffina is a Snooty Chicken in the Animal Crossing series. She first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and has appeared in all subsequent games. Her English catchphrase is a portmanteau of two different onomatopoeias of sounds made by chickens, "cluck" and "cock-a-doodle-doo." Her Japanese English catchphrase, kekkō, is similarly onomatopoeia for the sound a chicken makes, kokekokkō. Her Favorite saying is a reference to the popular saying, "Don't bite the hand that feeds you," meaning to not act ungrateful to someone that you are dependent on.

In New Horizons, Broffina has the music hobby and may sing anywhere without the need of a stereo.

Appearance

Broffina is a chicken with burnt orange feathers and a yellow beak. Her beak has pink lipstick neatly applied on it, and she has brighter orange eyelids on top of her half-full eyes. Her eyes are black, with a set of short eyelashes on both of her eyes. The feathers under her shirt are black, leading to her green striped legs. Her tail feathers are multi-colored, with orange feathers on top of yellow and black ones. All of these features give her a Latin-American appearance, which relates to her species: chickens are common throughout Latin American countries, and some are even kept as pets.
