Pavé is a peacock in the Animal Crossing series who first appeared in Animal Crossing: City Folk. He appears as the Event holiday character corresponding with Festivale.

Pavé's name may originate from the Yiddish word for "peacock," "pave." It may also be from the word "paw" (pronounced "pav"), which is Polish for "peacock" and another Polish word "pavané," which is a traditional dance. It may also originate from Pavo, the bird genus which contains the Indian peafowl and green peafowl. Additionally, it may originate from the pavé method of jewelry making, where many small gemstones are set closely together on an object's surface, a reference to the character's outfit. Alternatively, Pavé could have been named after the Brazilian dessert of the same name.
